Support the Gardens
Help the Gardens Financially
Your donation to Eagle Heights Community Gardens supports the Gardens’ four-part mission: serving as a source of food for gardeners, their families, and the community; providing recreational opportunities for gardeners and visitors to appreciate and interact with the earth; educating gardeners about the natural world and effective gardening techniques; and serving as a focus for interaction and community-building.Donations may be made by clicking the button below, which will take you to the UW Foundation’s secure web site.
At the web site:
- Click the box under “designation” and choose “other” from the menu.
- Enter the amount you would like to donate and type “Eagle Heights Community Gardens Fund” in the text box. This is VERY IMPORTANT! We won’t get your money if you don’t put in this title!
- Make any other appropriate choices that apply to your gift and click “next” to proceed through the rest of the donation process.
If you would rather not donate online, gifts (again, specifying the Eagle Heights Community Gardens Fund, please!) can be made over the phone at 608-263-4545 or by mail to the following address:
UW Foundation
U.S. Bank Lockbox
P.O. Box 78807
Milwaukee, WI 53278-0807
Unless you specify otherwise, donations will be used to meet our most urgent needs. However, if you would like your donation to serve a specific purpose, please note that when you make your gift.
Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a confirmation from the UW Foundation as well as grateful recognition from the Gardens.
Donate Tools and Time
The Gardens can always use donations of tools, wheelbarrows, and carts! Other materials may be needed on an occasional basis. Please contact the registrar at ehgardens@rso.wisc.edu to discuss any possible donation.
Volunteers with special skills (plumbing or carpentry, for example) are often needed, and volunteers with the enthusiasm and energy to help run the gardens are always needed! Read more about serving on the Garden Committee and check the Gardens’ home page for the date of our next meeting.
